Kate is a scientist with a demonstrated history in science communication and forming mutually beneficial research partnerships. In her previous role at the University of Adelaide in Communications and Research Partnerships Coordinator, she coordinated a Totally Wild Story and initiated a Catalyst feature. Kate also has a keen eye for linking projects with key external partners; she leveraged media coverage of a recent breakthrough which formed a relationship with three companies and attracted $100k of R&D. She has participated in University level strategic planning sessions and is confident in producing complex documents such as Annual Reports.

Kate has experience working within both higher education and in the biotechnology industry.

In her current role she is applying her strong skills in capacity building and strategic planning to support major National and International strategic projects within the Medical Device Research Institute and across Flinders University.
